UGANDA WILDLIFE SAFARIS

Birds to look out for include the Karamoja apalis, which is endemic to north-eastern Uganda. Ostriches (both wild and domesticated) are not hard to find here. Green bitta, Abyssinian ground hornbills, superb sterlings, secretary birds, even the shoebill can be sighted on the park’s stretch of land. The reserve’s boundary is broken by the extension of Lake Opeta, one in two places in Uganda and the entire world where the Fox’s Weaver bird can be sighted.
