This safari explores the less travelled North-Eastern safari circuits of Uganda. We track the Rhinos at Ziwa, take a boat ride to the bottom of Murchison falls, meet the Karamojong people, search for roan antelopes at Pian Upe, Hike the Sipi Falls, relax in Jinja and conclude with a city tour of Kampala.

Day by Day

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, Optional activities in Entebbe may be possible at the following places. Uganda Wildlife Education center (UWEC) formerly known as the Zoo, The Entebbe Botanical Gardens, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Reptile Village Uganda.

Kidepo Valley National Park is Uganda’s most isolated national park, but the few who make the long journey north through the wild frontier region of Karamoja would agree that it is also the most magnificent, for Kidepo ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses. it hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species.

After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive along the Narus Valley in the afternoon. Keep your eyes peeled for buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, oribis and elephants – and even the odd jackal. Your guide may even be able to locate lions, sunbathing atop rocks.

Depart on a morning game drive after breakfast and thereafter proceed to Moroto. The journey goes through remote areas with beautiful views, giving you the best insight of the true African wilderness.

Moroto town is located 210 km, north-east of Kampala, at the gentle slopes of the volcanic massive Mt Moroto (3085m) and the surrounding savannah planes withhold a range of activities to do such as: hiking and trekking, cultural experiences, bicycle tours, bush walks and archaeological tours.

We drive through Pian Upe wildlife Reserve as we head towards the magnificent Sipi Falls. The falls are formed by Sipi River that flows at the base of Mount Elgon, which lies between the border of Uganda and Kenya.

Accommodation: Rafiki Lodge Sipi 

Embark on a 4-hour hiking tour that will be guided by a local guide who talks about the history, culture, flora and fauna of the Sipi Falls area. Optional activities include; Abseiling excursions ranging from easy 25m descents all the way to 100m waterfall descent, community walks, coffee tours, sunset and sunrise views, cave exploration and so much more. Later we head to Jinja in the afternoon.

Accommodation:  The Nile Porch 

This town is located on the shores of Lake Victoria. It is famous for being the historic source of the River Nile and, more recently, for developing into the adrenaline capital of East Africa. Choose to relax by the river or poolside, go horseback riding or take a spin on the shores of the Nile on a Quad bike. Thrill seeker can opt for a half - or full day rafting! At the end of the day, you can go for a sundwoner at the source of the Nile!
